Monthly Business Meeting
May 19, 2022

- Introduction and call to Order – R. J. Ferguson
Mr. Ferguson delivered introductory remarks and then called the meeting to order at
7:34PM.
- Quorum Call – R. J. Feguson
Mr. Ferguson took roll call, all officers were present, quorum was met.
- Approval of Previous Minutes –
May meeting minutes were reviewed by those in attendance, no comments, questions or concerns were raised. Mr. Ferguson moved to approved the meeting minutes from April, Mr. Leistner seconded, minutes were passed unanimously.
- Officer Reports –
Mr. Leistner gave the Treasurer’s Report.
- Old Business –
Discussed future events: Highway Cleanup on June 4th; gun shows coming up in June and August; Lynn Haven 4th of July Celebration; Cornhole tournament; mini-golf; paintball; city council meetings. Mr. Leistner recommended we shoot for August to get a vendor table at the gun show.
Future guest speakers: Janet Pattison with Moms for Liberty – Bay County will be the guest speaker for the June meeting. Other potential future speakers discussed included Mary Coburn, Mark Anderson, Mark McQueen, among others.
Social media: the group discussed the need to bring on additional help to run social media and the websites. It was noted we now have a Discord channel and Twitter account and Mr. Leistner recommended everyone join/follow. As part of the discussion it was agreed if anyone had something they felt worthy of posting to the Facebook/Twitter account they would share it with the officers.
Secretary Position: Mr. Leistner noted that the Secretary duties have been combined with the Treasurer duties until the position is filled. Looking for someone who will be dedicated to attending future meetings and willing to help with secretarial tasks. Mr. Latham, Mr. Scray, and Mr. Holstegge all mentioned they’d consider taking on the position.
- New Business –
Motion 102 – Lynn Haven 4th of July Parade & Festival: Mr. Leistner moved to approve
up to $250 towards supplying and attending the Lynn Haven 4th of July Festival. He
noted that this would be a good opportunity to increase awareness for the party locally.
Mr. Ferguson seconded, passed unanimously.
Motion 103 – Cornhole Tournament: Mr. Leistner moved to approve up to $250 towards supplying and hosting a cornhole tournament. He also mentioned this event would most likely bring in well over the planned amount to spend and would be considered a fundraising event. Mr. Ferguson seconded, passed unanimously.
- Adjournment –
Mr. Ferguson moved to adjourn at 8:05PM, Mr. Caisse seconded, there were no objections.
